Cars: Another Piece of Technology

Today's cars are full of technology.  From the keyless driving on the new Honda Accord to the shop-vac on the 2014 Honda Odyssey, Hondas are full of the latest tech and fully connectable (is that a word?) to your latest gadget.

It only made sense to partner with IT geek and blogger Sarah Kimmel from Technology for Moms to have her check out the Honda technology.  To start, we've given Sarah a test drive in a 2013 Honda Odyssey for her family trip to CA.  To see how it goes follow her on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Google +.  Make sure you track #HondaTestDrive!

Sarah definitely has room for souvenirs!

She's off to a good start!

Stephanie Hansen of The Daily Blarg Reviews the 2013 Honda Accord

I fondly remember my very first brand new car, don’t you?  It was a 2002 Honda Accord and I was in love.  That is why I couldn’t turn down the luxury of test driving a brand new 2013 Honda Accord EX-L from Ken Garff Honda of Orem…for 10 fabulous days.  You may have seen us using the #HondaTestDrive (hashtag) on Twitter and Instagram documenting our (okay… MY) hijinks.  Which may or may not have included adorning the car with unicorn-a-plenty.

We are currently owners of one mid-size SUV, that is my primary mode of transportation, and a mid-size sedan that my husband drives for his daily commute.  For me to switch over to a sedan for 10 days was a bit of a change.  And while I only have 2 kids… I may not be ready to switch over to a sedan quite yet, even if it is as sweet of a ride as an Accord.  It may be a mental block but I like the extra space in an SUV.  However, my husband definitely has the Accord in his vision for our next commuter car purchase.  And trust me…that says a lot.  He’s pretty loyal to his current brand and for him to have second thoughts means the 2013 Honda Accord EX-L really made an impression.

Maybe We Are Minivan People--Honda Odyssey Test Drive

Lindsey Redfern from the R House was our third Blogger from the #HondaTestDrive.  She took the 2013 Honda Odyssey for a week.  Here is what she thought...

*****

Three years ago, we needed to purchase a new (to us) car.

Because of my Infertility PTSD, we went with a Yukon even though Mr. R really wanted a minivan.  I just couldn't bring myself to purchase a minivan when I no idea if we'd ever be able to fill all those empty seats.  In my mind, those empty seats were less obvious in the Yukon.  Over the past 3 years, the third row of seats has been folded down most of the time.

Now, through some miracle of heaven, we have three children.  (Say whaaaaa? I still cannot believe it.)  We don't have very many empty seats any more ...and I am rethinking my stance on "not being minivan people."

Blogger #1: Kathy Dalton from Adventure Mom TV

At Ken Garff Honda of Orem, we love Hondas.  (I know that comes as a big surprise.) We know they are award winning vehicles with great safety records, great repair records, they look good and are stuffed with cool technology.  Although every word that is true, it's also true that we might be a bit biased.

So we invited a handful of top Utah bloggers to test drive a vehicle out of the 2013 line-up and they can tell you what they think of the cars.

Kathy Dalton from Adventure Mom TV, as it happens, is in the market for a car.  So she became blogger #1.  She and her darling kids are having some adventures in a 4-wheel drive 2013 Pilot, perfect for when the roads look like this.

Kathy and her kids have been having a good time.

OK, perhaps too good of a time... but it's sure fun to watch!

To see all of Kathy's adventures this week follow her on Twitter @KathyDaltonSLC.  Don't forget to check out Kathy's blog Adventure Mom TV  where she is going to review the Honda Pilot when her test drive is done.
